I. Key Features

1. Multi-Waveform Output to Meet Comprehensive Testing Requirements

The device can stably generate various waveforms, including 1.2/50μs full-wave lightning impulse, 2–6μs truncated wave, 250/2500μs operational wave, as well as steep-front and oscillatory waves, fully complying with IEC 60060-1 and GB/T 16927 standards. Waveform peak error is <=±3%, and rise time and half-peak time errors are <=±10%, ensuring the reliability of test data.

2. Efficient Marx Tower Structure

Features a 4-stage epoxy pillar tower integrated design with a stage voltage of 100 kV. The unit has a small footprint, saving approximately 35% space compared to traditional linear structures. The main circuit features low inductance, combined with band-reject filtering technology. Within a load capacitance range of 300–1000 pF, the lightning impulse voltage utilization factor is >=1.2, ensuring smooth and stable output waveforms.

3. Constant-Current Charging and Intelligent Measurement & Control

The system is equipped with a constant-current charging automatic control unit, with a maximum charging current of 5 A and a voltage adjustment range of 10%–100% of the rated value, with a setting accuracy of ±1%. The built-in PLC and fiber-optic isolated monitoring and control platform support one-touch automatic charging, triggering, and waveform recording. Operators can complete the entire process via the touchscreen, significantly reducing human error.

II. Operating Precautions

  • Pre-test Preparation: Inspect the equipment for oil leaks and loose components, and confirm that the grounding wire is securely connected; the generator body must be discharged step-by-step using a grounding rod before connecting the wires.
  • Safety Guidelines: At least two people must be present during testing (one operator and one supervisor). Before closing the circuit, ensure the grounding rod has been removed, set up safety barriers, and keep unauthorized personnel away from the high-voltage area.
  • Charging and Discharging: Gradually increase the charging voltage from a low value; for the first test, it is recommended not to exceed 50% of the rated voltage. Charging and Discharging Intervals: 60 seconds for voltages below 2/3 of the rated voltage; 120 seconds for voltages above 2/3 of the rated voltage. The equipment will emit a loud noise during discharge, which is normal.
  • Post-Test Procedures: First, return the voltage regulator to zero, press the stop button, and the system will automatically connect the grounding rod. Before entering the test area, the equipment must be discharged step-by-step using a grounding rod again, and a "Discharged" warning sign must be posted.
